Take a walk.......
There is something about a tree lined street that really lowers my blood pressure. Makes it easier for me to breath, softens my temperament. I'm not partial to a particular avenue, for there are so many that speak to me. Mature suburban neighborhoods, shaded city avenues, gravel country roads shadowed by great pine monoliths. They all have a similar effect on my heart-rate.
And while I can spot one from a car, I really can't appreciate at an appropriate level unless I am able to stroll at my leisure. Preferably first thing in the morning, or depending on my mood, 20 or 30 minutes before dusk.
You may know a street like I describe. If one does not easily come to mind I'm sure that your kid's smart phone can locate one for you in a jiffy. Even if you need to pull out a dusty map, I strongly encourage you to take a walk as soon as humanly possible. Preferably down a lane towered over by trees as the wind whips the leaves in a muffled frenzy.
